The Third International Sindhi Language Conference, held at the Arts Council Karachi, brought together national and international scholars to explore the theme Sindhi Language, Sindhu Script, and the Socio Cultural Dimensions of Languages. The two-day event featured multiple sessions addressing the preservation and development of Sindhi and other regional languages in a rapidly changing linguistic and cultural landscape. Speakers highlighted the urgent need to protect Pakistan’s linguistic diversity, stressing that local languages must be promoted through education, public policy, and cultural initiatives. Key resolutions passed at the conference include granting national language status  to Sindhi, Balochi, Pashto, and Punjabi revoking licenses  of private schools that do not teach Sindhi; establishing district level Sindhi learning centers  and ensuring Sindhi language signboards  at highways, airports, railway stations, and all public spaces across Sindh. Participants emphasized that the survival of indigenous languages requires concrete action from the state, not just symbolic recognition. They called for inclusive language policies that reflect Pakistan’s multicultural identity.
