Over 100 years after radio was invented, it has a powerful impact on people’s daily lives. FM radio stations have a strong future in Pakistan, because they speak clearly and personably into listeners’ ears and they can be appended to mobile phones and cars. Indeed, the internet era has enhanced the power of the radio. On World Radio Day, Feb 26, 2026 UNESCO recognizes that Artificial Intelligence will merely assist radio to grow and will not take away its essence. They maintain that the experiences of the content creator, their ingenuity and creativity will remain paramount.
