Post-election scenario in Balochistan
Following the 2024 general elections, Balochistan saw negotiations between the Pakistan Muslim League-N and the Pakistan People’s Party regarding government formation and the position of chief minister. At the same time, Balochistan’s nationalist parties, who suffered heavy losses in the polls – protested the results. Subsequently the Pakistan Muslim League-N and the Pakistan People’s Party opted to form a coalition government in Balochistan alongside other political parties.
