Israel is reported to have dropped 100,000 tons of bombs on the Gaza strip since its intelligence agencies failed to intercept the Hamas attack that threw Israelis in agony over two years ago. The right-wing coalition, of which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a part, has since then mindlessly killed women, children and youth in the Middle East region – in unparalleled scenes of brutality. Ceasefire or no ceasefire, Israel is not desisting from killing Palestinians since the US negotiated the end of the war two years ago. Now the Israeli PM begs forgiveness from the Israeli president, not for the blatant human rights violations in Gaza and the West Bank – but on charges of corruption and stifling of the media inside his own country.
