In the Hilly Desert terrain of Sindh and Balochistan grow trees that closely resemble palm trees.
Their leaves are unusual for their ability to be strung to make ropes.
This has enabled women from Dadu to help create products like chairpoys (cots), ropes to harness cattle or even help hold construction material.
Although the work is hard and the hours are long, it enables their communities to make a living.
The eco friendly trees are being preferred to plastic, because of being strong and biodegradable.
