Children Adoption

Razia Sehto from Tando Mohammad Khan, Sindh has turned her home into a sanctuary for infant girls and boys born out of wedlock. She has spent her life to raise them, educate them and bring them up as good citizens.. For more than two decades, she has dedicated her life to caring for orphaned and abandoned children – choosing not to marry so she could devote herself entirely to their upbringing. Her journey began when a 10-day-old infant was left outside her home. The girl is now 22 years old but still dependent on her due to severe disabilities. She calls this girl Nida, and because of her, Razia expanded her pursuit to bringing in more girls and boys who may have been abandoned or become orphans at an early age.

Today, Razia’s house shelters 14 orphans and several children from poor families. The main problem she has faced is getting them identity cards. The issue was easier when her mother and father were alive. But as a single woman, she has to persuade the agencies to get them registered, admit them to schools and bring them into the fold of functioning society.
In a society where people put their personal lives ahead of others, Razia’s sacrifice stands as a powerful reminder that selfless love can still redefine the world.
