
Iran Blows Cold Air into Pakistan
Heavy snowfall in Pakistan’s northern areas and Balochistan are a novelty for tourists down south. In particular, Kan Mehtarzai, where the British built the first railway station, has turned into a winter wonderland. However, westerly winds from Iran have intensified cold and strained the infrastructure. Slippery roads have impacted the Quetta-Zhob-Dera Ismail Khan highway and reduced road travel. Still, JB Connects correspondent Aziz Sabawoon found that the administration’s better preparedness has caused fewer fatalities and injuries on the roads.
