The 21,700 km internet cable being laid down under the sea at Hawkesbay, Karachi, will link Pakistan with Southeast Asia, Middle East and Western Europe. The laying of cables is among a series put down over the years.- with the current cables dubbed SEA-ME-WE 6. It will link Pakistan from Singapore to France, raising internet speed by 40 percent. The next major shift in obtaining higher internet speeds is expected through satellite. These developments to strengthen high speed internet flows from the study of quantum mechanics, with the applications quickly passing from defense to commercial applications
