Bottlenose dolphins call out the specific names of their companions, as they frolic in the Arabian sea. The pod were found by Baloch fishermen along the coast of Gwadar. In winter, entire pods of dolphins swim the clean and warm waters of the Arabian sea.Being friendly creatures, they swim along with launches and enable a closer look at their playful nature.  According to the Royal Society B, dolphins are the only living creatures that call out specific name of other dolphins. Instead of words, they use whistles that encode the term used to refer to their mates. The signature whistle copies the one used by their mates, in a bid to unite with them.

The World WIldlife Fund has set up a 24 hour hotline for dolphins that might get stranded. In particular, they have been working on saving the Indus River dolphin, today counted among the world’s endangered species. As a result, WWF claims they have been able to add the population of the disappearing creatures.
