“The Indus River is not just a body of water; it is the identity of the Indus Valley civilization and an integral part of our cultural heritage.” was the consensus of the gathering at the Jamshoro Barrage, where protestors scattered flowers and took a symbolic dip in the Indus River.
Sindh has expressed strong opposition to the federal government’s six canal project, citing concerns over its devastating impact on the environment. In a unique show of devotion, Hindu communities dedicated their Holi celebrations to the Indus River, to highlight its spiritual significance.

The rally reinforced a powerful message: Sindh will continue to resist any move that threatens the Indus River, ensuring that the life-blood of the province remains protected for generations to come.
