No visit to Sukkur is complete without touring the beautiful, historical island of Saad Belo.

The island comprises historical Hindu and Jain temples spread over nine acres of land.

In 1823, a monk began meditating on the thickly forested island. His name was Swami Bankhandi and he would construct temples that would connect him with Shri Chand, the son of Baba Guru Nanak.

During and after British rule, distinct building works were carried out in which woodwork was prominent. It included an old library, which carries ancient theological material.
