Nangar Parkar in Sindh, bordering India, has the unique distinction of possessing majestic temples, which are visited by Hindus and Jains from across the world.

Framed by tall, green Karoonjhar hills, the temples are centuries old relics of white and black marble that speak of the historic significance of this border town.

Among them the Bodesar mosque, created by the ruler of Gujrat, Mehmood Shah Begru centuries ago, is still in good condition. However, with time, other temples are mere stones that speak of devotion to design in architecture.

Locals urge the government to protect the ancient heritage of Pakistan’s southernmost border town, so that year-round tourism may be promoted.
