BLA Gives Week’s Deadline For Release of Captives
The Balochistan Liberation Army has released three out of 10 hostages kidnapped from a rest house in Shaban tourist area, Balochistan whom they abducted on June 19, after checking their ID cards.
The Fatah squad of BLA released three after declaring them “innocent.” In an offer given on Wednesday night, two weeks after the abduction, the BLA said it would only release the remaining seven hostages in exchange for prisoners earlier taken by the “occupying” Pakistan army. The BLA reportedly held a court trial in the surrounding Zarkhoon mountains against all ten persons.
The seven persons being held, mostly from the Punjab, are accused of abetting the army against Baloch militants.
