Treatment Of Mind Matters

Mental Health practitioners said at a seminar on May 24, 2024 that mental illness was like any other sickness and should not be stigmatized.
The Sindh Mental Health Authority held the seminar at a local hotel titled ‘Mental Health Responsibilities of Media.’

The seminar was attended by renowned psychologists, psychiatrists, media persons and members of civil society.
Participants emphasized that newspapers, tv channels, and websites should consult the psychologists before disseminating information about sensitive mental health issues.

Chairman Sindh Mental Health Authority, Dr Karim Khawaja called the seminar the first of its kind held on the issue.
