An organization titled Khelo Cricket, formed in 2015, has been organizing women’s cricket to enable them to play nationally. The Memon Family Park in Karachi comes alive every Ramadan as girls gather to train for the sport. With their fond parents looking on, these girls bat and ball to sharpen their skills. Some of them come from far flung areas of Sindh and are filled with pride at being able to compete nationally. This year, Khelo Cricket has enabled a dozen women’s teams to participate in this event.
